Ashton Kutcher to Play Steve Jobs in Biopic Jobs

Variety is reporting that “Two and a Half Men” star Ashton Kutcher has landed the part of Apple founder, the late Steve Jobs, in the upcoming indie biopic Jobs, directed by Joshua Michael Stern (Swing Vote) from a screenplay by Matt Whiteley.

Kutcher’s name was brought up shortly after Jobs’ passing last October due to his resemblance to the Apple CEO during his early days as a hippie, which will be the starting point for the movie as it follows his path to becoming one of the most respected tech pioneers and businessmen.

The movie will start production once Kutcher goes on hiatus from the CBS series. Apparently, this is not the planned biopic based on Jobs’ own autobiography, which was picked up by Sony shortly after his death.
